What this site knows about you

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. No part of the code that renders these pages writes one. There is nothing to consent to for reading a briefing.

What is stored in your browser

Two preferences, kept in your browser's own storage. Neither is sent anywhere, and clearing your browser data removes both:

theme

Whether you chose light, dark or system. Set only when you use the theme control, and read before the page paints so the site does not flash the wrong colours.

Analytics

No analytics are running on this site. No measurement ID is configured, so no analytics script is loaded and no page view is recorded. This is read from the running configuration at build time — if that changes, this page changes with it on the next deploy.

What the site does with the briefing data

Briefings are generated when the site is built, from a read-only feed of public AI announcements. Nothing about a reader is involved in that: the same pages are built once and served to everyone. There is no account, no login, no newsletter and no comment system, so there is no reader data to hold.

The feed itself is second-hand material about companies, not about people who read this site. What it contains, and what is known to be wrong with it, is set out in the editorial policy.

Hosting

The site is served as static files by Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare processes the requests that reach it and may keep operational logs — IP addresses, timestamps, requested URLs — under its own privacy terms. That happens below this site's code and is not something it can describe or switch off from here, so it is named rather than glossed over. Cloudflare's own policy governs it.
